I have been making rustic furniture, carvings, etc. pretty much my whole life. In recent years I was inspired to start making home made musical instruments. I make cigar box guitars from a multitude of materials; cigar boxes, homemade boxes, lunch boxes, tins, hubcaps and wheel covers, etc.

One of my favorite items is the Strumstick. Very similar to the cigar box guitar, but fretted on the diatonic scale which makes it very easy to learn on for a beginner, but also lots of fun for accomplished musicians.

A Diddley Bow is a one string guitar. It is the easiest instrument on which to start playing music immediately, even if you have no musical talent. I strive to make all of my items aesthetically beautiful, and also durable to provide many years of enjoyment.

New Products

Last year, I started making Diddley Canes, a Diddley Bow which doubles as a personal mobility cane for those of us who are getting a bit long in the tooth like me.
